What Did Jesus Say About Works?

Matthew 5 v 16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7 v 22

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name have cast out devils? and in Your name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 11 v 2

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples.

Matthew 11 v 20 – 21

Then began Jesus to upbraid the cities wherein most of His mighty works were done because they repented not: Woe unto you, Chorazin! woe unto you Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

If I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not. But if I do, though you believe not Me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.

John 14 v 10 -12

Believe you not that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.

John 15 v 24

If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both Me and My Father.
