Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you.
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come unto you.
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region round about.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?
But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
The wind blows where it lists, and you hear the sound thereof, but cannot tell whence it comes and whither it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
It is the Spirit that quickens, the flesh profits nothing: the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life.
And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither know Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
But when the Comforter has come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me:
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He has come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: Of sin, because they believe not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and you see Me no more; Of judgement, because the prince of this world is judged.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father has are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of Mine, and shall show it unto you.
