And He said unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 8v 20-22
And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. And another of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said unto him, Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead.
And as Jesus passed forth from thence, He saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and He said unto him, Follow Me. And he arose and followed Him.
And he that take not his cross, and follow after Me, is not worthy of Me.
Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me.
Then answered Peter and said unto Him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed You; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That you which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And Jesus said unto them, Come you follow Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
And as Jesus passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow Me. And he arose and followed Him.
And Jesus suffered no man to follow Him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
And Jesus went out from there and came into His own country, and His disciples followed Him.
And when Jesus had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will follow after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing you lack: go your way, sell whatsoever you have and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.
And Jesus said unto him, Go your way; your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
And the people, when they knew it, followed Him: and He received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
And Jesus said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
Luke 9v 57-60
And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto Jesus Lord, I will follow you wherever you go. And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” “Lord,” he said, “first let me go bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go you and preach the kingdom of God.
And whosoever does not bear his cross and follow Me, cannot be My disciple.
Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him, Yet lack you one thing: sell all that you have and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow Me.
And when He puts forth His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice. And a stranger will they not follow but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:
If any man serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be: if any man serves Me, him will My Father honour.
John 13v 36-37
Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, where are you going? Jesus answered him, where I go, you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow me afterwards. Peter said unto Him, Lord, why can’t I follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.
John 21 v 18-19
Verily, verily, I say unto you When you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would, but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall gird you, and carry you where you would not. Thus spake Jesus, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said unto him, Follow Me.
