What Did Jesus Say About Discipleship?

Matthew 10v 24-25

The disciple is not above his Master, nor the servant above his Lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his Master and the servant as his Lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of His household?

Matthew 10v42

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Matthew 16v24

Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

Matthew 19v21

Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me.

Matthew 28v19

Go you, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mark 8v34

And when He had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

Luke 9v23

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Luke 14 v27

And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.
