And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto Him: and He was nigh unto the sea. And, behold, there came unto Jesus one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet, And besought Jesus much, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death: I pray you, come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him, and many people followed Him and thronged Him.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he also do; and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you shall ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you. ( John 14 v 12 – 17 )
I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that bears no fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, He purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Remain in Me, and I remain in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it remains in the vine; no more can you, except you remain in Me.
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. ( Matthew 11 v 29-30 )
There is a unique place, an appointed position for the people of Almighty God found in Jesus Christ where every day there is the freshness and vitality of the Father’s grace ministered through the presence of His Holy Spirit who can minister into every situation of the life of a believer.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. ( John 10 v 10. )
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ( John 5 v 24 )
Jesus Christ in His humanity lowered Himself in taking our place, Jesus Christ gave his life for the sins of humanity, to raise up a people who would live unto His Father in newness of life in Him.
To those who are in Christ, there is given unto them a place where His peace abounds, where His joy and His life is full in the lives of those who will yield up their lives unto Him.
Many of Gods people have received the Holy Spirit in their lives, but there have been few who have walked in the power of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
The purpose of the Holy Spirit being in the life of each believer is so that the Spirit of our Heavenly Fathers abiding can move through the life of the believer for the express purpose of demonstrating the might and dominion that His Son Jesus Christ has obtained for the race of humanity.
Peter asked Jesus a straight forward and an important question “How many times must we forgive seven times? We can find the answer (Matthew 18: 21-35)
Jesus clearly said in sharing this Kingdom of God truth that our Heavenly Father will forgive those who have a repentant heart.
It must be clearly understood that if that person who has been forgiven, having had their slate wiped clean, experienced the new birth, but then refuses to forgive another person from their heart when they stand before our Heavenly Father because they did not show mercy (as they had been shown mercy), they will now be required to pay for their sins.
The life in Jesus Christ, the life that is of Him, the life that is from Him, is a life which is beyond all human understanding.
The will of God for our lives is that we come into Jesus Christ, we become partakers of His life which is eternal and abundant.
A believer needs to understand that when our life becomes hidden in Jesus, we are partaking of the new nature of the Spirit of the Father who then indwells our lives.
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” —Matthew 16v25.
As believers, we are called to lay down our lives. We are called to follow Christ’s footsteps, who took on suffering even death, for the well-being of our lives.
The one person who had the right to put His needs, His wants, and His well-being in front of ours laid down that right.
